Sale-A-Bration

Think warmth!!!  Sale-a-bration begins today!  I will be placing my order in a couple of days.  I have heard from a number of my ladies that they received the SAB catalogs.  That being said, if I have your order and it amounts to more than $50, please send me an email with the free SAB product you would like.  If you did not receive a catalog, you can check out the SAB products online and get the item number.  (A pain, I know--sorry!)  Have a great day!  Be careful outside, stay warm and find yourself a little stamping' time!

It has been a while, but wanted to let you know that I have heard that the Sale-a-bration catalogs are being received.  So if you are one of my current customers, you should be seeing your copy arriving in the mail soon.  Today's card was created using two of the paper designs in the Watercolor Wonder DSP collection found in the Occasions Mini.  The colors include Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight.  After stamping the sentiment (Remembering Your Birthday), I used a framelit from Apothecary Accents, sponged the edges and adhered two Crushed Curry Candy Dots.  The little party hat was stamped using Smoky Slate ink and then trimmed to be used as a little embellishment.  Although the color combination is not usually one I would choose, I like this card very much.  Have a great day, find yourself a little stamping' time and keep warm!

Live Happy!

I am sitting here watching the snow fall outside my office window  It is quite dreary this morning, so I am happy to be posting a cheerful card!  The image and sentiment are from the Sale-a-bration set, You're Lovely.  Stamped using Black Stazon, I used my SU markers to color in the flowers.  Right around this time of the year is when I begin to see the first Jonquils of the season and so came about the black/yellow/white color combination--one of my favorites.  The polka dot paper is from the Neutrals DSP stack and the two little "candy dots" were the perfect way to finish the card. Sale-a-bration begins January 28th.   If you are a current customer of mine, your copy of the SAB brochure has been ordered to be sent to you.  Have a great day and be careful on the roads!

A Little Love Note

Happy Monday!!  Today's card is quick and simple and another card that can be a Valentine or an everyday card to let someone know you care.  When I saw the  stamped image from the Love You to the Moon stamp set (Occasions Mini), I knew that I would somehow use it together with the Modern Medley DSP collection sheet music paper. The punched Vanilla heart is layered on one of my favorite Embosslits, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts. Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

You & Me

I am getting ready for card classes this weekend and putting away the Countless Sayings 2 photopolymer set when I decided to use it for an anniversary card.  Actually, not just any anniversary card, but one for my hubby!  In February we will celebrate 40 years together!  I love the color combination of Pool Party and Crumb Cake so decided that would be perfect for our anniversary.  I stamped two little hearts using the same stamp set, added little pearls and finished the card off with a pretty button embellished with seam binding and linen thread.  Between now and February 16th, I might change the card a bit, but I think it is really pretty just the way it is now!  Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Watercolor Wonder Note Cards

Did you ever find yourself in need of a quick card and very little time to make one?  Well, the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards in the Occasions Mini are perfect for just such a situation.  For today's cards I used two of the five designs in the set.  The note cards are made of watercolor paper .  (FYI: I did ruin two of the note cards by not having enough ink on the stamp.  When I tried to restamp, I blurred the sentiment.)  On the Elegant Eggplant flower card, I stamped the flower in Black Stazon ink and then colored it in using Elegant Eggplant ink and an aqua painter.  The sentiment was stamped using the Eggplant ink pad.  Both of the images on this card are from the Happy Watercolor stampset.  The Tangerine Tango card already had the flowers printed on it.  All I did was stamp the sentiment using Tangerine Tango ink.  I can dress these up by adding embellishments such as ribbon or butterflies or brads~~tons of embellishment possibilities  Being note cards, they do measure 3-1/2" x 5", smaller than what we usually create.  Nonetheless, they do meet the USPS size requirements and are mailable.  In the future I will certainly be posting cards using other designs from this set.  It is a good deal as you get 20 cards and envelopes for $12.95 plus tax and shipping.  The weather is warming up so I will be running a few errands later today.  Have a great day and be careful when you go out.

hugs & kisses

The minute I saw the Countless Sayings 2 photopolymer stamp set, I knew I wanted it~~if for no other reason than the words "hugs" and "kisses" and the "&".  Yesterday I made this cute tag to adorn the cellophane bag of Hershey Hugs & Hershey Kisses.  Once the tag was stamped I noticed the little set of three tiny hearts in a row and added the hearts to the ampersand.  You can't see it that well, but the tag was punched using the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch on Real Red DSP from the Polka Dot Parade collection (annual catalog).  I used colors  that are good for Valentine's Day, but if you have a baby or bridal shower coming up, these would be a perfect little favors when created in bridal party colors or baby's room colors.  Well today is another freezing cold day by me.  If the same is true where you live, keep warm, stay safe and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Tape It or Washi Tape

Let me start off today's post with congratulations and best wishes to my friend, Michelle and her new husband, Shawn!  We had a great time at your celebration and thank you for inviting us to share in the start of your new lives together as husband and wife!!  Second, it has been quite the wild weather weekend here!  As I type this morning, the temperature is minus 22 degrees with a  windchill of minus 47 degrees.  If you are out and about, please dress properly and have blankets in the car~~just in case.  And last but not least, today's cards:  both use the same color combo of Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and Tangerine Tango.  On the card to the left, I used the new Washi Tape from the Occasions Mini.  I am really getting into the Washi Tape, but not everyone likes using it.  So I decided to recreate the same card  using the Tape It stamp set (Annual Catalog).  The image is from the Another Great Year stamp set (Occasions Mini).  I inked the image using my SU markers and then punched and layered the image using circle punches.  The stars and the little banners (punch available during Sale-a-bration) embellish the card to the right because I needed to hide a couple of oops!   Have a great day and keep warm!!

Occasions Mini

The new Occasions Mini catalog goes live today!  There are a number of items in the catalog that are on my "need" list.  In fact, some of my previous posts included cards made using new product.  One of my favorites is the Happy Watercolor set.  Today's cards are clean and simple cards on which the images were heat embossed.  The Tangerine Tango card is refreshingly warm as I sit in my office looking at the snow and the freezing cold!!   I used Versamark ink for the images and Tangerine Tango embossing powder.  The flower on the sympathy card is another image from the Happy Watercolor stamp set and I paired it up with a sentiment from Love & Sympathy (annual catalog). Once again the image and sentiment were stamped in Versmark and then embossed~~this time with clear embossing powder.  You should have received your Occasions Mini by now if you are a current customer of mine.   If not, I will be disappointed.  Please let me know if you did not get your copy and I will follow up with Stampin' Up!  When I see you, I will give you a copy.  And of course, you can always go to my SU website to see what is new!  Have a wonderful weekend and while keepin' warm, maybe you can find yourself a little stampin' time!
