Almost Completed!

My new scraproom is coming along so nicely! My husband has been doing a lot to make it a beautiful space. I ordered a new counter for the island (due to arrive on April 30th) and have a number of new cabinets installed and filled. I am going downstairs now to finish organizing and putting things away. Hopefully the carpet will be installed during the week. Originally, I was going to have the floor tiled. Well, one morning down there on the concrete floor in my slippers convinced me that carpeting would be a much warmer way to go. Photos coming soon!

My New Scrap Room!

My husband and I just painted the first coat in my new scrap room. My new room color closely resembles the 2008 SU! In Color--Pink Pirouette. I have always really liked the color pink. As a little girl I can remember wanting pink shoes. Each year for Easter all of us (my sister and two brothers) always got new clothes. I was about 7 years old and when we went to the shoe store for our Easter shoes, my Mom and Dad let me get pink ones! Those were the prettiest shoes I ever had! For some reason, as I was admiring my scrap room, I remembered those shoes. So here I am, 50 years later, Easter is less than two weeks away and I am remembering those pink shoes--because of my freshly painted scrap room. The moral of this story--scrap those special times in your life and your children's lives. Fifty years from now, those times might be even more special.
