Thank You Cards

I have so much scrapbook/pattern paper that I had stopped purchasing 12 x 12 sheets~~until the Scrapbook Expo.  And I only purchased four sheets of paper at that.  Today's cards were made using one of those sheets of paper~~Bo Bunny's Stay Awhile Floral Designs.  The beige is one side and the Navy with flowers and leaves is the other.  I did fussy cut the flower spray on the beige paper on the card on the left.  The sentiment on the card to the left is from SU's retired hostess set, Small Script.  The sentiment on the card to the right is from the Stampendous stamp set,  Friendly Phrases.  Have a great weekend!

Does He Know It's A Bird?

My son-in-law was in Costa Rica a couple of weeks ago and he brought me a wood trivet.  The trivet had carved leaves, flowers and a toucan.  So I made him a little thank you card using an image from My Favorite Things.   The card was sitting on my desk when Nipper was in my office with me.  Nipper pattered across my desk to check out the card!  It was too cute!  He was really interested in that toucan.   Have a great day!

Just Because Mums

Another card I created using RG Studio 360's Bold Blooms digital stamp set. The flower was created in different sizes using Word and cut on the Scan N Cut.   I taped off the four edges of the white cardstock layer and brushed the open space using Distress Inks.  After coloring the flowers with alcohol markers, I arranged the flowers and embellishments on the card.  The sentiment is from the Just Rite stamp set Large Fancy Sentiments.  Have a great day!

Boho Banner Cards

Earlier this month, I participated in the RG Studio 360 virtual card
class.  The name of the stamp set that this class was based on is Banner Boho.  Here are two of the four cards we created.

RG Studio 360 is debuting new products in mid October including their own coordinating cardstock and ink.  The ink will come in smaller squares versus average size of ink pads and will be known as Sugar Cubes.  They will also be releasing actual stamp sets, too in addition to digital stamps.  More information will be released at a weekend gathering being held in Scottsdale, AZ the weekend of October 13th.  It will be interesting to see how RG Studio 360 will change in the near future.  Have a great day!

Thank You Wreath

This past weekend was the perfect weather weekend!  While going thru a file of RG Studio items, I came across the digital stamps that were included in a free download last November.  So out came my alcohol markers and my Scan N Cut.  After lightly splattering white cardstock with Mossy Meadow ink refill, I added embossing lines to the bottom section using my score tool. Sequins and ribbon were the finishing touches.  Have a great day!

Happy Fall!

Tomorrow is the first official day of Fall so I am posting one more cute card using Sunny Studio Stamps' Happy Harvest stamp set.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Sheltering Tree set.  And that cute little squirrel is from Lawn Fawn's Pick of The Patch stamp set.  Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Be Scary

A couple of weeks ago, RG  created a card blending a drink from the Perfect Blend  digital set with two images from the Frightfully Cute digital stamp set.  Since I have the Perfect Blend set,  I colored one of the beverage images in Halloween colors.  Since I don't own Frightfully Cute,  I  colored three little images from Lawn Fawn's Spooktacular stamp set.  I arranged the images on a white circle.  The pattern papers are from Queen & Co.  Now that the card is done, I should have moved the cat to the left a bit, but it works the way it is.  Have a great day!

Fall Fun

My favorite Fall card that I made so far.  But then, I say that with each Fall card I finish~~lol!!  The images are from My Favorite Things' Fall Friends stamp set.  The background was brushed with Distress Inks and the images colored with alcohol markers. And again, my Scan N Cut did all the cutting for me!   Not sure which is cuter~~the little girl or the little squirrels!  Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Happy Birthday, John

Sunday was John's birthday.  We celebrated with Matt, Jen, Mark, Sydney and Niklas.  My brother, Larry, is back in town and he was also celebrating with us.  He has his fifth wheel parked at Matt's place and it is like the old days~~living close enough to each other we could get together whenever we wanted!  John enjoyed his celebration.  I am posting the card I made for him.  I used the balloon image from Fun Stampers Journey's Birthday Sketch stamp.  Everything blue is Stampin' Up's new In Color, Blueberry Bushel.

Speaking of blue, I was happy Sunday when I was almost sure I saw about 5 bluebirds at the bird bath.  And then yesterday, I was making dinner and I saw them again.  This isn't a great pic but this was the last one in the water by the time I had my camera in hand.  I am thrilled to see the little bluebirds as all of a sudden one day they were gone from the nesting box.  John suggested they might have gotten eaten by a creature and that saddened me.  But now I know they were just  relocating and I am thrilled.   I hope to get more pictures in the next couple of day.  Have a great day!

MFT Stamps Challenge

My Favorite Things Stamps is having a contest and I decided to join in at the last minute.  My card is for the Clean and Simple category.  The stamp set used is Birdie Brown's Fall Friends.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers and when cut out, the images were adhered to a white cardstock circle  (die cut with a Wonky Stitched Circle die) which was brushed with distress ink.  The edges of white cardstock were sponged with the same blue ink and then embossed using my scoring tool.

There are so many pretty entries.  And there are actually three categories.  Lots of talent out there!

Little Squirrel

The leaves are beginning to change, especially on the Burning Bush.   I continued working on Fall cards over the weekend.  Today's cute Fall card was created with MFT Stamps'  Birdie Brown Fall Friends.   The embossed and colored images were adhered to a white circle which had been brushed with Distress Ink.  That was then layered on a white scallop circle.   The circles were cut with Stampin' Up framelits.  The sentiment, images and twine were all adhered to an embossed Cajun Craze layer.  Too cute!  Have a great day!

Close To Cocoa Fall Arrangement

Today's card was created using Sunny Studio Stamps' Beautiful Autumn and Happy Harvest stamp sets After coloring and cutting with the Scan N Cut, I arranged the images on ovals cut with Stampin' Up's Stitched Shapes framelits.  I embossed a white piece of cardstock and then framed it with retired Close To Cocoa cardstock.  I made the frame using Stitched Rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn.  This just might be someone's Thanksgiving card!  Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Birthday Drinks

RG Studio 360 released a new digital stamp this week, Perfect Blend.  They release a new digital set each Monday, but this one called my name!  The set consists of a variety of beverages including fancy coffee drinks and/or hot chocolate.  There is also an iced drink and what I used as a milk shake for today's card.  I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment is one of five.  When purchasing a digital set from RG Studio 360, you receive different types of images:  SVG, JPEG, outlined PDF images in regular and mini sizes.  I used the outlined mini version so that I could include two drinks.  Otherwise. the space used for the drinks would have only fit one of the drinks.  The outlined images tell the Scan N Cut where to cut.  Not so sure what to do with the others.   One day I will sit down and play with all of them to see how they work.  Have a great day!

Balloon Bouquet

I need a few birthday cards in the next couple of weeks so I played with a stamp set I have not used in a while.  Today's card was created using Fun Stampers Journey's Birthday Sketch stamp set.  The Inside Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangles were used to create the Balmy Blue frame and the white insert.  The color combination of Basic Gray and Balmy Blue turned out to be a pretty combination.  I bet Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake would also be a pretty combination.  Once the card was put together there was a little too much white space.  I added the sentiment and some Balmy Blue stars.   Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

So Dreary!

It had been so dreary last week that I wanted to make a cheery card.  So out came the Rain or Shine stamp set from My Favorite Things and Spectrum Noir markers.  There is no sentiment on the card front.  Inside, the sentiment says, "There's always room for you under my umbrella".    The little girl and the happy little ducks will for sure bring a smile to someone's face!   The beautiful weather we are having now brings a smile to my face!  Have a great day!

Autumn Is Calling

There are some very cute and very pretty Fall stamp sets out this year.  For today's card I used two stamp sets from Sunny Studio Stamps:  Beautiful Autumn and Happy Harvest.  The leaves, acorn and sunflowers were colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  Once again I used my Scan N Cut to cut the images.  I would have been cranking the Big Shot for awhile to get all of these images cut using dies.  Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Card in September?

Gina K's Always Autumn set is so pretty, I had to make another card using it.  This time I used individual images from the stamp set and put them together, some with dimensionals.  The acorns are from Sunny Studio Stamps' set  Beautiful Autumn.  The images on today's card were all colored with colored pencils and Gamsol.  The Chocolate Chip layer was embossed using Stampin' Up's Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  The sentiment is also from Always Autumn.  Have a great weekend!

Always Autumn

The Always Autumn stamp set by Gina K includes pretty Fall images and pretty sentiments in a pretty font.  In fact, everything about this set is so pretty that I did need to purchase it.  The image was colored with alcohol markers and adhered to a stitched circle.  The die cut leaves were created using Stitched Leave dies by Lawn Fawn.  I sponged the edges of the leaves and adhered the leaves and copper thread to the Cajun Craze cardstock.  Dimensionals were used to adhere the circle with the image.  Earlier I  embossed the Cajun cardstock with my scoring tool to create an embossed frame. A Pumpkin Pie layer and a few sequins were added.  Have a great day!

Beautiful Autumn

For today's card I did purchase the coordinating dies.  But, once the leaves and acorns were all stamped and colored, I thought it would be much quicker to just use my Scan N Cut.  And it was!  The stamp set is Beautiful Autumn from Sunny Studio Stamps.  Even the layout came from a card that is on the Sunny Studio Stamp website.  Not too sure about the Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the background layer.  In person, it is a little bright.  Next card will have a Cajun Craze or a Mossy Meadow green background.  Have a great day!

Butterfly Inspiratlion

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend despite the weather!  Today's card includes a butterfly from Dare 2B Artzy's Butterfly Inspiration stamp set.  I inked the background a bit using Ranger Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from Thoughtful Greetings by Pretty Pink Posh. After punching the corner, I layered it on to a Petal Pink piece of cardstock.  It still needed a little something so I added a few clear drops.  It is rather simple but it is pretty.  Have a great day!
