Happy Halloween!

Thanks to my friend, Kathy Z, I have the perfect post for Halloween!  Kathy made 80 of these favors using all Stampin' Up supplies.  I think that the teachers/staff at the school where her daughter is the principal will be thrilled with their Halloween treats!  Kathy out does herself each holiday!  Have a fun Halloween and enjoy the little ghosts and goblins who visit you.  Happy Halloween!

Blueberry Bushel Happy Birthday

I purchased MFT's Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX and started cutting the circles. I decided I should probably use what I die cut and used one of those circles on today's card.  The print papers are retired Close To My Heart patterns and the blue in the paper matched Stampin' Up's Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  The sentiment is from a retired SU stamp set while the banners were cut using a framelit from SU's Retired Gift Card Framelits set.  To finish the card, I added two little Blueberry Bushel butterflies from the retired Beautiful Wings embosslit.  I am smiling because that particular embosslit was one of my best purchases ever from SU.  I hope it never breaks!  Have a great day!

One More!

Over the weekend I spent some time playing with images and alcohol markers.  I was looking for good color combinations for images I will use on my Christmas cards.   Of course, while coloring penguins, I had to make another penguin card!  Stampin' Up's Real Red cardstock matched the red patterned paper in My Favorite Things' Candy Land Paper Pack.  This is just another cute and simple card.  Have a great day!

Cutest Penguins

My goodies from My Favorite Things arrived yesterday.  I ordered on Tuesday and since my order was $50, shipping was free.  (I remember that in addition to the normal 10% shipping at Stampin' Up, I had to pay $20 for second day!)  I decided to play with some of the new things.  One was the Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set.  After stamping a number of them, my Scan N Cut failed me!  I tried changing color, changing location, lights off, lights on.  Nothing worked.  A few of them cut out but most did not.  So after going on line and ordering the matching dies, I colored a number of different images.  The penguins are so darn cute, I had to put together my first Christmas card for 2018.  Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time.

Cup of Cheer

When I was on Facebook the other day, I saw a card using MFT's Fall Friends stamp set and the color combination caught my eye.  After coloring the little girl using orchid and turquoise alcohol markers, I found this plaid paper from Lawn Fawn that matched the orchid and turquoise from the image.  I colored one of the images from Newton Nooks Design's Cup Of Cocoa stamp set with the same colors.  The Storybook 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh fit the girl, the cocoa and the sentiment from Cup of Cocoa perfectly.  This could be a card for  a variety of occasions.  Have a great day!

Favorite Grandsons' Cards

Yesterday I posted Halloween cards for Sydney and Niklas.  Today I am posting cards Kathy Z created for her grandsons, Connor and Graham.  Everything used is Stampin' Up~~paper, cardstock, punches, ink and stamps.  Her younger grandson, Connor, is taken with bats.  Whenever his grandpa takes him to the zoo, he wants to see the bats.  So Stampin' Up's bat punch came in handy!   The bats on the cards were punched out of velvet like paper from last year.  Both cards are adorable. Have a great day!

Halloween Cards For My Favorites!

The little witch from MFT's Witch Way Is The Candy is sooo cute!  Sydney will probably be getting Halloween cards with this little witch in different colors for the rest of her life!  Actually, I copied Cherie's card from last year.  The cat and moon are from Lawn Fawn.

And since you have to treat all your grandchildren the same, I made Niklas's card using the same colors and a shaker card, too.  The image on his card is from Penny Black's Bewitched stamp set.  The fillers in the shakers of both cards are from Queen & Co.  These were fun to make.  Have a great day!

Favors

Over the weekend I needed two different favors.  The first was for our German "grandson".  It was his 17th birthday and Jen was hosting a party for him.  The theme of the party was Harry Potter.  Since Niklas is not a big sweets eater, I ordered Harry Potter pencils at Amazon.com.  There are many Harry Potter clip art images on line.  I chose one, brought it into Word, copied it nine times and printed.  Circle punches were  used to make tags.

Yesterday was Cricut Sunday and I made these simple little favors.   They are little orange bags with packages of Sixlets inside.  I wrapped the bags with Halloween twine and had every intention of adding a little tag.  As you can see the tags never got added.  Actually, tags never got made!  Have a great day!

Hoppy Friends

While ordering a couple of things from My Favorite Things, I came across a cute little stamp set, Hoppy Friends.   When my happy mail from MFT Stamps arrived, I created these two simple cards.   The sentiments are from the Everyday Greetings set by  Pretty Pink Posh.  On one card I used a retired Stampin' Up corner punch and on the other I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched die.  Using just this one image and a variety of sentiments from Everyday Greetings, I could make a set of cards for gift-giving.  Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time.

Happy 19th!

Jen and Mark celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary a couple of days ago.  I have a cute flamingo stamp I was going to use (Jen likes flamingos) but I decided I would make a card that Mark would especially like.  So out came My Favorite Things' Magical Dragons stamp set.  The knight and the damsel make for a cute couple~~back in medieval times!  The Layering Circle dies from Stampin' Up are perfect for smaller images.  Have a great day!

Trick or Treat

Today's card was created by my friend, Kathy Z.  All I know is that she used all Stampin' Up products and it is gorgeous!  John brought the mail in and when I saw the puffy envelope with Kathy's return address on it, I had to open it immediately.  Isn't it almost too pretty for a Halloween card?  Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Cocoa Time

Last week I posted tropical fruit drinks and today it will be mugs of hot chocolate.  Cup of Cocoa is another stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs. The mugs were colored with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut on the Scan N Cut.  (I do see a couple of places requiring a little coloring touch up!)  The splatter on this card was created using one of the images from Stampin' Up's Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  The white layer was cut using a die from Lawn Fawn's Fancy Scallop Rectangles.  Have a great day!

Homecoming

Sydney and Niklas went to their first homecoming dance over the weekend. Jenny is finding out how much fun it is to have two teenagers in the house! Last weekend they went shopping for dress clothes.  Syd found her dress rather quickly.  Since Niklas is so tall and thin, finding dress pants for him was a little harder. He said that the "flood" pants he tried on would be just fine.  Jen said, "No way!"  So they shopped a little more!  Sydney went to the dance with her girlfriends and Niklas went with some of his friends.  They both had a great time.  It is hard to believe that Sydney is old enough to be going to Homecoming.  Have a great day!

Cocktail Mixer

Today's card was created using Newton's Nook Designs' Cocktail Mixer stamp set.  After stamping the images in Versafine black ink and embossing them with clear embossing powder, I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  My Scan N Cut did a great job cutting them out.  (I am sure that the stamp sets I purchased without purchasing coordinating dies has more than paid for the SNC!)  Before adhering the images, I brushed a section of the white cardstock  with green and yellow Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  Black twine, sequins and clear dots add dimension.  Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Thank You Leaves

The other day I saw a card on Pinterest that caught my eye.  It was my inspiration for today's card.   After brushing Distress Ink along the left side of the top white layer, I adhered a strip of plaid paper and tied brown twine around it.  The leaves are from Sunny Studio Stamps and were colored with colored pencils,  Before adhering the top layer to the card base, I adhered the top layer to a piece of craft foam.  The sentiment is from the Stampendous stamp set, Friendly Phrases, and stamped with Chocolate      Chip ink.  Have a great day!

Cutest Little Witch

This past Saturday was World Card Making Day.  RG from RG Studio 360 had a special couple of hours on Facetime where he was making cards.  I enjoy his Live videos, but Saturday's was especially fun.  The layout for today's card came from one of the cards he created that day.  The little witch image is from My Favorite Thing's Which Way Is The Candy set; the jack o lantern and sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Spooktacular stamp set.  As you can see, I even splattered~~a little bit!  Have a great day!

Just For You

The little girl images in My Favorite Things's Fall Friends stamp set are so cute.  I had colored in a few the other day and then made today's card over the weekend.  Stampin' Up's retired Close To Cocoa cardstock matched her outfit perfectly.  I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle dies and Stampin' Up's Stitched Shape dies for the layers.  The sentiment is from SU's retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I also used a retired SU die and punches for the sentiment layers.  With all the retired Stampin' Up things I used on today's card, I should have used the word "retired" in the title of the post!  Have a great day.

Warm Fall Memories

A warm, summery Wednesday turned into a pretty and cool Fall Thursday.  More and more leaves are turning colors and falling from the trees.  That prompted me to use My Favorite Things' Fall Friends stamp set together with Echo Park's Perfect Autumn paper to make a cute Fall card.  I used  a tool I haven't used for a long time for the corners~~We Are Memory Keepers' Corner Chomper!  I don't know why I rarely use it.  It cuts thru both the top and back of a card base at the same time without needing a lot of pressure.  I am going to take it out of hiding!    Have a great weekend!

Black & White Floral

The pretty black and white floral paper on today's card is from Pink Paisley's Auburn Lane collection.  I mentioned in an earlier post that I bought four sheets of scrapbook paper at the Expo.  This was one of the the four.  It is very pretty paper.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Large Fancy Sentiments stamp set.  The card is so pretty but whenever I photograph a black and white card, it just doesn't do the card justice.  Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Best of Autumn Thank You

Today's card was created by my friend, Nancy.  It is a clean and simple and very pretty card.  The image is from the retired  Stampin' Up's Best of Autumn stamp set.  About five years ago Stampin' Up was celebrating it's anniversary by introducing a "best of" stamp set every month.  This set had pretty Fall images.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's retired set, Peaceful Petals.  Have a great day!

Matt's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Matt's birthday.  It was especially nice because my brother, Larry, and his wife, Linda, were here to celebrate with us.  And our German "grandson", Niklas, got a real taste of partying with my family.  Let me just say, "We are all a little silly or crazy!"   Matt would have preferred to be in the Florida Keys, but since he wasn't, I made him a tropical birthday card and party favors.  He even ordered his own birthday treat~~Key Lime pie straight from Key West, Florida.  Have a great day!
