Chocolate Houses

I enjoy sharing things created by others and these chocolate houses needed to be shared.  My dear BFF, Lenora, makes these chocolate houses every Christmas and every Christmas I am amazed at the time and effort she puts into each one.  The houses begin with a solid piece of quality chocolate (similar to a  Hershey's kiss) from Morke's.  She melts down the chocolate and pours it into molds.  Some molds get painted first using various colored chocolate or confectionery product; i.e., the penguin.   Once the house is assembled (each wall a separate piece of chocolate), she starts embellishing her house using a variety of candies, adhering each with her adhesive of choice~~more chocolate.  Once all supplies are gathered, Lenora spends probably 4-5 hours on just one house, including melting and cooling time.  The houses and embellishments are all edible. Those who receive one of Lenora's houses are delighted--and for good reason! People will look at my cards and say, "Wow, so much work and people throw your cards away."  Well, these little houses are so cute and are so much work and we eat them!!!  Have a "sweet" day!
