While on vacation a couple of months ago, I stopped in at a rubber stamp store. They had a number of cards on display, but one card in particular had a butterfly border that I really liked. I purchased the punch (by Tonic Studio) and when I started playing with it I realized that there was no way I would be able to make an evenly spaced border like the one displayed. I was wrong--Tonic has a tool that goes with their punches called the Border System. You put the punch into the designated space on the Border system and then move the cardstock along using the ruler measurments. I purchased this item using my 30% off coupon at Archivers (price for the border tool was $6.99). This is my first attempt using the Tonic system. I used my Cuttlebug, SU! cardstock and Sheer Creations ribbon. Simple but pretty.
Will I purchase more punches from Tonic Studios? The answer is yes. I will say that it was a little hard on the hand punching 5 times in a row, but I like the effect and this punch will look very nice when used with some of My SU! butterfly stampsets.
