Mom's Birthday
In a few weeks my mother-in-law will be celebrating her 97th birthday. I wanted a pretty card for her, so I started with my favorite Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper~~Whole Lot of Love. It is retired so I use it sparingly!! I then looked on Pinterest for a layout I liked. The sentiment is from SU's Petite Pairs stamp set which I layered on circles using SU's Layering Circle Framelits. The word "MOM" was stamped onto black cardstock using Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Pool Party card base and Calypso adhesive embellishments bring out the colors in the DSP. Have a great weekend!

Woof
A friend of Matthew's is not feeling well right now. She volunteers at Hoof Wood and Meow Animal Rescue with Matt. He asked if I had a card with a dog on it. And, of course, I do. I actually had two, but then I made another. The larger puppy is from Avery Elle's Furry Friends set. The cute little puppy is from My Favorite Things' New Best Friend set. The plaid paper is also from MFT Stamps.
Hoof Woof and Meow has some pretty puppies and dogs available for adoption right now. You can heck them out at www.hoofwoofmeow.org Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time!

A Valentine
Taking a break from Christmas cards to try out a new die I purchased. It is the Three Hearts Elle-ments die from Avery Elle Stamps. The single die cuts three hearts at once. As always, once the die arrived, I had to try it out. So I made this cute and simple Valentine. After cutting the hearts in the white cardstock, I lined the back side with the pink polka dot paper. After layering that onto black cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up set and tied the checked ribbon around it. I added that to a white card base, but it needed a little something else. So, three little black hearts were added! Have a great day!

A Birthday Flyby
And speaking of my son-in-law, it will be his birthday in a couple of weeks. So I used part of yesterday to make his birthday card. Since he is into dragons, I used My Favorite Things' Magical Dragons stamp set. I also used Stampin' Up's Little Letters dies, trading a candle for the letter "I". He will get a kick out of the card. Have a great day!

Kathy Z's Favor
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend. I know that my family certainly did. I wanted to share the favors Kathy Z made for the teachers at her daughter's school. She used Stampin' Up supplies, including the Square Pillow Box die. The leaves were stamped using SU's Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and cut with the coordinating dies. The close up shows how Kathy also embossed the pillow box top with the Woodland embossing folder. She put an apple cider packet in each and then wrapped the favor with coordinating ribbon and a little tag. I am sure that once again, the teachers were thrilled! Have a great day and be careful outside!

A Birthday Card
At Cricut this past weekend we celebrated Nancy's birthday. Nikki made a delicious cake. It was an apple cider donut cake and it tasted as good as it looked. This is the card I created for Nancy. I used retired Stampin' Up Designer paper, Pool Party ribbon and MFT's Lavendar Fields cardstock and ink. I should have taken a picture of all of the cards. Everyone made pretty cards for Nancy. Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Favors
My Avery Elle Treat Topper die has not been used for quite some time and I had too many Autumn colored M&M's. So this month the Cricut girls got favors for which I used both. The little bag toppers were made using Echo Park's Perfect Autumn pattern paper. I filled little cellophane bags with the M&M's and adhered them in the topper using Scor Tape. After punching little holes into the toppers, I threaded the ribbon and tied a bow. This is another one of those cute and easy to create favors. I planned on adding a little tag to the ribbon but it was more important I clear off the tables and counter in my craft room so the ladies had room to work~~lol! Have a great day!

Trifold Gift Card Holder
The little penguins from MFT's Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set make anything extra cute! This trifold gift card holder was a nice presentation for gift cards. But when I added the penguin to the belly band, it just made the gift card holder so darn adorable! I was actually trying to recreate a gift card holder Kathy Z gave me. So this is just my "trying to figure dimensions" version. I used Real Red cardstock and retired Designer Series Paper. The red cardstock strip inside is where you slip the gift card. Once it was all put together with the coordinating belly band, I decided to finish up the inside, too. I used a stamp set from Lawn Fawn's Treat Yourself, as this will hold a Dairy Queen gift card. I am already thinking about what images to use for coffee gift card holders. Have a great weekend and find yourself a little stampin' time!

Hug In A Mug
It surely was a chilly day yesterday. When I went down to my scrap room I took out Newton's Nook stamp set, Cup of Cocoa, and created today's card. MFT's Candy Lane Paper Pack includes the two papers used on the card. MFT's Razzle Berry cardstock is perfect for the card base and the layers for the circle and rectangle. A happy card to make and look at, too! Have a great day and stay warm!

Happy Birthday Wishes
This pretty little card is about the pattern paper. The paper is from My Favorite Things. The two patterns used on this card are in the Party Patterns Paper Pack. The 6 x 6 pack includes 12 patterns, 2 of each. I also have one of the matching cardstocks, Cotton Candy. The little birthday cake is from Lawn Fawn's Elphie Selfie and the sentiment from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs. I did not have matching ribbon. I used white ribbon and ran it across the Cotton Candy cube I purchased and the ribbon turned out to be a perfect color match. I am thinking that this could be a very cute baby card. Have a great day!

Sending Hugs
The little girl holding her cute kitten will bring a smile to the recipient of this card. The image is from My Favorite Things stamp set, New Best Friend. I used one of the dies in MFT stamps Wonky Stitched Circle STAX dies and used an Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for the white layer. The "hugs" is also from Avery Elle. The Balmy Blue card, used for the card base and circle, is a new color from Stampin' Up. Balmy Blue is a very pretty color. Reminds me of the retired Bashful Blue. Have a great day!

Thanks A Bushel
I think I am going to be coloring Christmas critters for a long time. They are very cute but I decided I needed to work on a few cards that are needed before Christmas. Today's card was created using Lawn Fawn's Thanks A Bushel stamp set and dies. I also used My Favorite Things' Stitched Mini Scallop Circle dies. Once the card was all put together, it needed a little something more. So out came retired acrylic dots from Stampin' Up. That is an item I should have stocked up on before they were retired. Have a great day!

Cute Bird
I needed a thank you for the woman who makes and sells some of Nipper's bird food. Jen usually purchases it for me at the bird show, but she has been pretty busy the past months. So I wrote to Joyce and asked if she could mail me the food. She said she would and the food arrived today. Joyce sent me food without prepayment or a credit card number. (The cost was close to $50!) That was very trusting of her and I appreciated that almost as much as I appreciate Nipper's quality food. So, I took a break from coloring penguins and made today's card for Joyce. The little parrot is from Clearly Besotted and the sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh's Everyday Greetings. Have a great weekend!

Coloring For Christmas
The last couple of days I have been coloring instead creating cards. My Favorite Things has so many cute Christmas stamp sets, I couldn't choose just one. So I purchased three! I will be coloring for a while! Which image/images will be on your Christmas card from us? Have a great day and find yourself some stampin' time!
