Home Sweet Home
We had a wonderful time soaking up the sun and the sounds and smell of the Gulf of Mexico. We arrived home late yesterday afternoon, happy to be here, but missing the warmth. It wasn't as cold as we expected it to be, so that was a good thing. As an added bonus, our son picked us up from the airport and also had dinner waiting for us at home. This is one last photo I wanted to share before I get back to sharing my projects with you. My daughter, husband and granddaughter were walking the beach when they came upon this huge starfish. Sydney was very excited about their "find" so a quick photo was taken before the starfish was returned to the Gulf of Mexico. I am going to spend the day catching up on the usual--laundry, grocery shopping, etc. And in between~~I will find some stampin' time.

What A Day!
We woke up yesterday to pouring rain, wind and cool weather. So we went shopping! Of course Joann's was where I spent my time. I was able to touch and feel scrap paper--I needed that! It is pretty bad when you are on vacation and you need to go touch and feel paper--LOL!!! My husband went to the Bass Pro Shop. We both got our fixes.
Our friends did not have such a good day. There are four couples here, three of which have condos in the same complex. My husband went out for the newspapers and when he came back he mentioned that two of the couples were out bright and early as their cars were not in the parking lot. A while later I called the the two condos of our friends to see what everyone was planning for the day. (We all do what we want during the day, but we meet in the parking lot at 5:00 for dinner.)
When I spoke to Lisa, I asked her where her car was so early in the morning. Her response, "It better be in the parking lot!" Her husband was out for his morning walk. A short time later, a few of us met down in the parking lot. Tom is returning from his walk and we ask, "Where's your car, Tom?" He points to where it was parked the night before and he makes a mad dash for his condo. At this point he is thinking that Lisa had the car. NOT! Their car was stolen! It was a new Ford Escape with less than 5,000 miles. After police reports, etc. the car was found--rolled in a water-filled ditch with the thief surround by air bags. He is in the hospital and the car is totalled. Here's to a better day today.

Sunset on Saturday
We are all having a great time. There are four couples here, all staying at the same condo building. This isn't the greatest photo (I am using my little netbook and I have no photo editing software) but the sunset was gorgeous last night. I took this photo thru the screen on the balcony and wanted to share it. Wish you were here!

Just Another Day In Paradise
The view from our condo is perfect--palm trees & the Gulf of Mexico. Of course the screen on the lanai kind of messes up the photo, but you get the idea. This morning we had to take our daughter & granddaughter to the aiport and it was so quiet when we returned to the condo. We went for an early morning walk on the beach and the dolphins were on a feeding frenzy! The high tide was going out so there were all kinds of creatures on the sand--including this beautiful sand dollar. I need some breakfast. Have a great day.

Sun, Seashells, Sand. . .
. . .and I am not just dreaming. I am down in Fort Myers Beach enjoying it all! I am having scrap room withdrawal, but the surroundings are perfect! The flight down was awful--I don't like flying to begin with--but it sure is nice to spend 2 1/2 hours in a plane versus how many hours in a car? We spent the morning on the beach and later I hope to post a pic or two. We woke up toe the sound of the surf and the dolphins playing in the Gulf of Mexico. Yesterday my daughter found a huge starfish on the beach which we took pics of and then put back into the water. There are so many sand dollars--more than we have ever seen in one day in previous visits. Well, I have to get going here. I will write later in the week. Do some stampin' for me!

Stampin' Time Sunday
Mark your calendar for February 7th. It might be Super Bowl Sunday, but in my scrap room it is going to be Stampin' Time Sunday! Since I am not very interested in watching the Super Bowl, I have decided that I will hostess my first Stamp Camp! Between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 pm, we will be working on a number of stamping projects. I have been to stamp camps in the past and they were a blast. Not only did I come home with quite a few creations, I also enjoyed spending more than just a couple of hours stamping and enoying the company of the ladies that were also attending those stamp camps. We will be making cards and 3-D items and learning some great techniques. And in between, you will be making your own sundaes and eating chocolate! How much better can Super Bowl Sunday be~~stamping, ice ceam & chocolate! This is definitely a "must register" event! The fee for this event is $20.00 which covers the cost of all supplies. All you have to bring is yourself. The cut off day for registration is February 4th. Call or email me so I can add you to the list. Watch my blog for further details. In the meantime, find yourself some stampin'/scrappin' time

Love You Card
Everyday I tell myself that I have done enough Valentines. But I walk into my scrap room and I remember a card I saw somewhere (this particular card was inspired by Dacia Smith)or an idea I had and I start creating.
So, here is another Valentine! (Actually, as with other cards I have posted here, it can be an anniversary card for your spouse, or a wedding card for a special couple.) I used the Sending Love Specialty Paper that is in the Occasions mini catalog. I was not too excited about the paper at first. My mind was changed by some beautiful creations I saw online. And in my opinion, it really is gorgeous paper, with just the right amount of glitter. This photo does not do it justice. Enjoy your evening and stay warm.

A Complete Set
If you read my recent posts, you probably think that all I do is play with my new SU! supplies. Well, that is pretty true. But my main focus the past couple of weeks has been completing a request for 50 wedding shower invites, favors, thank you cards and a keepsake box. The brides colors are purple and white, so Elegant Eggplant was the primary color. I also used Shimmery White and Whisper white cardstock along with Perfect Plum Patterns Designer Series paper on the keepsake box. SU's Elegant Bouquet embossing folder was the perfect added touch for both the thank you cards and the keepsake box. I really am going to clean my scraproom today--it's Stamp & Scrap afternoon here, so I better!

Melon Mambo Again!
I just love Melon Mambo--and it is perfect for Valentine's Day projects. This is a quick card I made using the Movers & Shapers die from SU!~~filling in the negative heart space with a die cut embosslit heart. For those of you not familiar with the Movers & Shapers die, the Movers & Shapers die will cut an A2 card. It comes with the Curly Label die and I also purchased the movable pieces. The movable pieces include a heart, star, scalloped oval and modern label. There is a window in the die where you can place one of the movable pieces so that the shape will cut the card front where you place it in the window. The movable dies are magnetic so you do not have to worry about shifting of the die as it is going thru your Big Shot. Again, so many possibilities. Have a great day and find yourself a little stampin' time.

Close To Cocoa Matchbox
Now how cute is this? I really want this die from Stampin' Up, but until then, my girlfriend is letting me play with hers. In addition to the matchbox die, I also used the new Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to emboss the matchbox cover. The greeting on the tags is actually two of the stamps from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set that is in the Idea Book & Catalog. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line them up. The two little Kit Kat miniatures fit perfectly inside. This is a great little Valentine for your co-workers, your children's teachers--just about everyone.

Love You Much Card
I love bright colors, so no surprise that I have been drawn to Melon Mambo, one of SU's In-colors that was introduced last summer. Among other things, I had ordered the Melon Mambo Designer Series paper, the Sizzix scallop envelop die and the polka dot embossing folder when I placed my most recent order. I have been eyeing that die for quite some time, but not quite sure what I would use it for. Well, this is a card for which it was just perfect. Right now it is a great Valentine card, but change the greeting and it can be a get well wish or a happy birthday card or a thank you card or--so many possiblities. I have been finding myself quite a bit of stampin' time lately. Hope you can do the same.
Stampin' Up Heart Treat Cups
I am so excited! My order arrived with products from the new Occasions mini and Sale-a-bration catalogs. I was very interested in seeing what the Heart treat cups loooked like. I found them in the box along with the Sweetheart Clear Mount stamp set and quickly created this little Valentine. It was so quickly done that nothing is even adhered--LOL! I just had to share this photo to give you an idea of what can be done with these items. Since I should really be in the kitchen right now finishing dinner, I am cutting this post short. But believe me, you will be seeing many new creations--and not only Heart Cup projects!

Sale-A-Bration & New Occasions Mini
It's that time again when you can reeive free products with every $50 purchase of SU! And when you see the new Mini Occasions, it won't be hard to earn a free product or two. You should be receiving the Sale-a-bration brochure any day. Unfortuantely, the Mini has been delayed a little. But, until you receive it, please go to my my Stampin' Up! website:
www.stampintimesomewhere.stampinup.net
to check it out. When you are on my home page, click on products, scroll down to catalogs and click. On that page, under the "Occasions Mini" you will be able to download the PDF file. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. In the meantime, find yourself some stampin' time!
Love Birds
I am so impressed with the new Two-step punch that Stampin' Up will offer beginning January 5th that I just had to make another card using it! This card started out as a Valentine, but once it was finished, I thought to myself "What a great anniversary or wedding card!" For a wedding, you could use the bridal party colors and omit the "love you much" sentiment. If you were to make this card for a special couple's anniversary, you could stamp the number of years of wedded bliss they are celebrating in the center of the heart. So many possibilities! I also used the embosslit heart die and a texture plate. The new Occasions mini has me "needing" quite a few items.
