I just looked at the pics I have in my post and if you read the journaling, I need to correct something! It should say "birdfeeders" not "birdfeeds"! LOL

Sunny Days Simply Scrappin' Kit

I purchased this Simply Scrappin' kit from SU! and I am very pleased with it. There isn't one paper that I will not use. Many times, I order a kit like this and a couple of the pages aren't my style or colors and those pages accumulate in my non-used paper area. I have my Cricut--which I would be lost without, so I rarely purchase stickers. The stickers in the Simply Scrappin' Kit are so cute, that I am using those embellishments rather than make embellishments using my Cricut. I have also decided that I would save myself a lot of time if I handwrite my own journaling rather than print all of my journaling on my computer. I will try that for layouts that only require a small amount of journaling, but not when I have a story to write about a particular layout. All things considered, I feel that this kit from SU! is well worth the money. Enjoy the day and find yourself some scrappin' and/or stampin' time.

Weekend Projects

I helped one of my friends make a Honeymoon scrapbook for her niece. This is one of the layouts that was in the scrapbook. Anyone who saw this, commented on how pretty these pages were. So, I recreated them for my blog and to use in one of my scrapbooks. As I was taking a photo, I decided that this will be a great two-page layout for my Scrapbooking 101 class this month. I have been seeing cute post-it note holders on a number of websites that caught my attention. The acryclic picture frames needed for this project were on sale--buy one get one free. So, I purchased a couple of the frames and using leftover paper, I made one for myself with a matching pen. It is a cute little gift for someone. I will be making more of these in the future--simple and useful, too. Until next time, find yourself some stampin' time!

Been A While!

I haven't posted in quite some time, but I have been playing catch-up, not only with my scrapbooking but also with cleaning the house. My husband went to Canada for a fishing trip, so I decided I would use that time wisely and clean closets and pantries, etc. And I was successful! I have two large bags of clothing that will go to the Goodwill Store and when I open the pantry doors, I can actually see everything on the shelves.

As for the scrapbooking, some of my scrapbooks were just too heavy because of the amount of pages I had in them. I decided that from now on I am going to limit the number of pages in an album. In order to accomplish that I now have added two albums to my shelf. I have also decided that I am going to switch all of my albums to the snapload system. It was a real pain to be screwing, unscrewing and rescrewing the posts and screws in order to remove pages from an album and add them to another. The picture to the left shows how the snapload system looks in a scrapbook. The photo to the right is of the packing for the snapload system I am using. It made reorganizing my scrapbooks a whole lot easier.
